ひめがま (姫蒲)

わが国の各地をはじめ、世界の温帯から熱帯地域に広く分布してます。海に近い平野の沼沢地に生え、高さは２〜３メートルになります。葉は「がま」に比べて細く、１センチほどしかありません。６月から７月ごろ、円柱形の花序を伸ばしますが、上部の雄花群と下部の雌花群が５センチほど離れているのが特徴です。別名で「ほそばがま（細葉蒲）」とも。台湾華語では「水燭」、中国語では「水燭（shui zhu）」と呼ばれます。 |

The Small reedmace (Typha angustifolia) belongs to Typhaceae (the Cattail family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed throughout Japan and the temperate and tropical areas of the world. This herb grows in coastal lowland marches and can reach 2-3 m in height. The leaves are linear about 1 cm wide and narrower than reedmace. The columnar cluster is borne from June to July. The upper male flower cluster and the lower female flower cluster are separated by about 5 cm. In Taiwanese Chinese, it is called "水燭", and in Chinese, "水燭" (shui zhu). |
