わが国の本州、中部地方以北から北海道、千島、それにサハリンに分布しています。亜高山帯から高山帯の林床に生え、高さは５〜１５センチになります。葉は３出複葉で３個輪生します。小葉の裂片は細長く、鋸歯があります。５月から６月ごろ、花茎の先に直径１センチほどの白い花を咲かせます。花弁のように見えるのは萼片です。

キンポウゲ科イチリンソウ属の多年草で、学名は Anemone debilis (syn. Anemonoides debilis)。英名はありません。

The "Hime-ichige" (Anemone debilis) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed northward from Chubu district of Honshu to Hokkaido, as well as the Kuril Islands and Sakhalin. This herb grows in sub-alpine to alpine forest floors and can reach 5-15 cm in height. The leaves are trifoliate and three whorled. The leaflets have slender lobes and toothed margins. The stalks are borne and bloom white flowers about 1 cm across from May to June. They are petal-liked calyx lobes.
