The Golden trumpet (Xeromphalina campanella) belongs to the family Typhulaceae. It is a mushroom that is widely distributed throughout Japan and across the northern temperate zone of the Northern Hemisphere. It grows on decaying conifer stumps and rotting fallen trees, appearing from summer to fall. The cap is approximately 8-20 mm in diameter, initially bell-shaped or hemispherical, opening to become rounded, and dark orange-brown or orange-yellow in color. The stem is 10-30 mm long and 0.5-2 mm in diameter. The upper part matches the cap color, becoming increasingly dark brown toward the base. It is considered unsuitable for consumption. It is called "鐘形干臍" (zhong xing gan qi gu) in Chinese.
