"Hime-yuri" (Lilium concolor) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is native from southern Tohoku district of Honshu to Shikoku, Kyushu of Japan, the Korean Penninsula, China and Amur. This herb grows in sunny montane grasslands and can reach 30-80 cm in height. The stem is erect, the leaves are linear-lanceolate and alternate. The vermillion-red flowers are upright and come from June to July.
