南アフリカが原産です。半蔓性で、高さ２メートルほどになります。葉は奇数羽状複葉で、小葉は卵形です。ほとんど一年中、紅橙色の漏斗形の花を咲かせます。黄花の品種もあります。

ノウゼンカズラ科テコマリア属の常緑低木で、学名は Tecomaria capensis。英名は Cape honeysuckle。

The Cape honeysuckle (Tecomaria capensis) belongs to Bignoniaceae (the Trumpet creeper family). It is a small tree that is native to South Africa. This tree is a semi-vine and can reach about 2 m in height. The leaves are impari-pinnate with ovate leaflets. The flowers are reddish-orange, funnel-shaped and bloom in mostly year round. There are also yellow flower-colored varieties.
