"Hime-sayuri" (Lilium rubellum) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is endemic to Japan, and distributed to southern Miyagi prefecture and the prefecture's borders between Niigata, Fukushima and Yamagata. This herb grows in montane grasslands, and it can reach 30-80 cm in height. The bulbs are ovate and the leaves are broad lanceolate, 5-10 cm long. The scented pale pink flowers bloom atop of stems from June to August. There are white flower-color rarely. The anthers are yellow.
