ひめさゆり (姫小百合) [Index] [Back] わが国の固有種で、本州の宮城県南部と新潟・福島・山形の県境に分布しています。山地の草地に生え、高さは３０〜８０センチになります。鱗茎は卵形で、葉は広披針形で長さ５〜１０センチです。６月から８月ごろ、茎頂に甘い香りのある淡いピンク色の花を咲かせます。たまに白色の花もあります。葯は黄色です。別名で、「おとめゆり（乙女百合）」とも呼ばれます。  ユリ科ユリ属の多年草で、学名は Lilium rubellum。英名はありません。  "Hime-sayuri" (Lilium rubellum) belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is a perennial herb that is endemic to Japan, and distributed to southern Miyagi prefecture and the prefecture's borders between Niigata, Fukushima and Yamagata. This herb grows in montane grasslands, and it can reach 30-80 cm in height. The bulbs are ovate and the leaves are broad lanceolate, 5-10 cm long.
