ホロディスクス・ディスコロル [Index] [Back] 北アメリカの西部に分布しています。開けたところや森林などに生え、高さは５メートルほどになります。葉は小さな楕円形で、耳たぶのようなひだがあります。初夏、大きく下垂する円錐花序をだし、白い花をいっぱい咲かせます。花には微かで優しく、甘ったるい香りがあります。 バラ科ホロディスクス属の小低木で、学名は Holodiscus discolor。英名は Ocean spray、Creambush。 The ocean spray (Holodiscus discolor) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a deciduous shrub that is native to western North America. This shrub grows in openings and forests, ant it can reach about 5 m in height. The leaves are small elliptic and lobbed.
