ヨーロッパの山地に分布しています。標高１４００〜３０００メートルの草地や林内に生え、高さは２５〜３０センチになります。根生葉は腎形で鈍鋸歯があります。茎葉は鱗片状です。６月から７月ごろ、茎頂に淡いピンク色の頭花を１個咲かせます。

キク科ホモギネ属の多年草で、学名は Homogyne alpina。英名は Alpine coltsfoot。

The Alpine coltsfoot (Homogyne alpina) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the European mountains. This herb grows in grasslands or woods 1400-3000 m elevation and can reach 25-30 cm in height. The basal leaves are reniform with obtuse toothed edges. The stem leaves are scarly-like. The solitary pale pink flowerheads come in June to July.
