ほんどみやまねず (本土深山杜松)

わが国の本州、中部地方に分布しています。高山の岩礫地や砂礫地に生え、幹は地面を這うか斜上します。葉は針形で長さ５〜１０ミリ、やや弓状に曲がって３輪生します。雌雄異株で、６月から７月ごろ、前年枝の葉腋に花を咲かせます。果実は直径６〜７ミリの球果で、先端が扁平です。 |

ヒノキ科ネズミサシ属の常緑低木で、学名は Juniperus communis var. hondoensis。英名はありません。 |

"Hondo-miyama-nezu" (Juniperus communis var. hondoensis) belongs to Cupressaceae (the Cypress family). It is a small evergreen tree that is distributed to Chubu district of Honshu. This tree grows in rocky areas and sandy gravel areas of the alpine zone. The trunk is ascending or crawling on the ground. The leaves are needle-like, 5-10 mm long, and three whorled. The base of the leaf bends slightly in an arc. It is dioecious, and the flowers bloom at the new branches in June to July. The fruits are strobiles, 6-7 mm across, with flat tips. |
