フィリピン諸島やジャワ島が原産です。潅木状の着生植物で、熱帯雨林や道ばたなどに生えます。葉は楕円形から円形で滑らか、表は緑色で裏は薄い緑色です。葉身の先端は尖り、基部は心形をしています。夏を通して、散形状の花序に黄色がかったクリーム色の花を咲かせます。副花冠は緑色かがった褐色から赤褐色で、中心部は紫色です。 
ガガイモ科サクララン属の常緑小低木で、学名は Hoya cumingiana。英名は Bush hoya。
The bush hoya (Hoya cumingiana) belongs to Asclepiadaceae (the Milkweed family). It is a small evergreen shrub that is native to the Philippines and Java. It is a shrub-like epiphyte and grows in tropical rainforests and along roadsides. The leaves are elliptic to round, smooth with a green top and a light green underside. The blade tip is pointed, the leaf base heart-shaped. The yellowish-cream flowers bloom in umbel-shaped clusters throughout summer. The filaceous corona is greenish brown to red-brown, the purple center.
