南アフリカのケープ地方に分布しています。乾燥した石の多い場所に生え、高さは１．２メートルほどになります。塊茎は多肉質で、一部は地下に潜り、高さは６０センチ以上になります。葉は狭披針形で、茎の上にまとまってつきます。現地では８月から１２月ごろ、淡いピンク色からピンク色の花を咲かせます。おそらくは「パキポジウム・スックレンツム（Pachypodium succulentum）」の変種です。

キョウチクトウ科パキポジウム属の小低木で、学名は Pachypodium bispinosum。英名はありません。

Pachypodium bispinosum belongs to Apocynaceae (the Dogbane family). It is a deciduous sub-shrub that is native to the Cape Province of South Africa. This sub-shrub grows in arid stony places and can reach about 1.2 m in height. The caudex is succulent and partially subterranea up to 60 cm tall. The leaves are narrow lanceolate in tufts on the stems. The light pink to pink flowers come from August to December. This species is possibly a variant of Pachypodium succulentum.
