オーストラリアの西部に分布しています。高さは３０〜５０センチになり、葉は細くて線形です。４月から６月ごろ、長い茎の先に小さな黄色い花を咲かせます。花弁のように見えるのは総苞で、内部の総苞片は黄色、外側は茶色です。ドライフラワーにも利用されます。

The Showy everlasting (Helichrysum subulifolium) belongs to Asteraceae (the Atser family). It is an annual herb that is native to western Australia. This herb can reach 30-50 cm in height. The leaves are narrow linear. The small flowerheads bloom on the long stalks from April to June. The flowers are petal-shaped involcal bracts, with yellow inner bracts and brown outer bracts. The flowers are used as dried flower.
