「べにばなとけいそう（Passiflora coccinea）」とアメリカ南東部原産の「パッシフローラ・インカルナータ（Passiflora incarnata）」との種間交雑によって作出された園芸品種です。高さは３．６〜４．５メートルほどになり、゛いちご（苺）」のような紅色の花が特徴です。室外では晩秋まで、温室では一年中開花します。

トケイソウ科トケイソウ属の常緑小低木で、学名は Passiflora cv. Lady Margaret。英名はありません。

The Passiflora 'Lady Margaret' belongs to Passifloraceae (the Passion flower family). It is an evergreen shrub that is a garden variety produced through interspecific hybridization between "Red passion flower" (Passiflora coccinea), and "Passiflora incarnata" which is native to the southeastern United States. It grows to 3.6 to 4.5 m in height and is characterized by its "strawberry" red flowers. It blooms until late fall outside and all year round in the greenhouse.
