The Passiflora mooreana belongs to Passifloraceae (the Passion flower family). It is an evergreen shrub that is distributed in South America from Bolivia to Paraguay and Argentina. It grows as a vine, twining itself around other trees and plants, reaching 6 to 12 m in length. The leaves have three deep lobes, and the lobes are thin and finger-like. The corolla is about 7 cm in diameter. The perianth segments are bluish cream, and the corona is a mixture of bluish purple and pale blue.
