南アフリカの東部から南部に分布しています。高さは３０〜４５センチほどになり、葉は円形で明るい緑色をしています。この葉には「りんご」に似た香りがあり、別名で「アップルゼラニウム」とも呼ばれます。初夏から秋にかけて、小さな白い花を咲かせます。

フウロソウ科テンジクアオイ属の常緑小低木で、学名は Pelargonium odoratissimum。英名は Apple scented geranium。

The apple scented geranium (Pelargonium odoratissimum) belongs to Geraniaceae (the Geranium family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to eastern and southern South Africa. This herb can reach 30-45 cm in height. The leaves are round and bright green. They are apple-like scented. The small white floower appear from early summer to fall.
