The Hammock viper's-tail (Pentalinon luteum) belongs to Apocynaceae (the Dogbane family). It is a small evergreen tree that is distributed from southern Florida in the United States to the West Indies. It grows in sunny coastal wetland margins and coastal pine forests. It is a vine, twining around other trees and other plants, and can grow up to 2.4 m long. The leaves are oblong, glossy, and grow in pairs. It produces bright yellow flowers all year round, as long as the temperature is right. The photos show a garden variety 'Summer Bouquet'.
