ヨーロッパの山地に分布しています。標高４００〜１６００メートルの湿り気のある林内や牧草地に生え、高さは２０〜６０センチになります。基部の葉は卵状披針形で鋸歯があり、茎葉は小さな披針形です。６月から７月ごろ、花茎の先に長い円筒状の穂状花序をだし、小さな白色から薄いクリーム色の花を咲かせます。

キキョウ科フィテウーマ属の多年草で、学名は Phyteuma spicatum。英名はありません。

The Phyteuma spicatum belongs to Campanulaceae (the Bellflower family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the European mountains. This herb grows in damp woods or meadows 400-1600 m elevation and can reach 20-60 cm in height. The basal leaves are oval-lanceolate with toothed edges, and the cauline leaves are small lanceolate. The long cylindrical spike is borne and blooms small white to creamy white flowers from June to July.
