南アフリカのケープ地方に分布しています。葉は多肉質で青緑色、長さ３〜７センチほどあり対生します。直径４〜５センチほどの黄色い花を咲かせます。和名では「しんらん（親鸞）」と呼ばれます。 |

ツルナ科プレイオスピロス属の常緑多年草で、学名は Pleiospilos magnipunctatus。英名はありません。 |

The Pleiospilos magnipunctatus belongs to Aizoaceae (the Ice plant family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed in the Cape region of South Africa. The leaves are fleshy, blue-green, 3-7 cm long, and grow in pairs. It produces yellow flowers 4 to 5 cm in diameter. It is called "Shinran" in Japanese. |
