ヨーロッパアルプスに分布しています。標高９００〜１９００メートルほどの日陰の岩場に生え、高さは５〜１０センチほどになります。葉は長楕円形からへら形で、粘質の腺毛が生えています。早春に、花茎を伸ばしてピンク色から赤紫色の花を咲かせます。真ん中に白い目があります。写真は、園芸品種の「リズモア（cv. Lismor Treasure）」です。

The Auricula (Primula allionii) belongs to Primulaceae (the Primrose family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed in the European Alps. It grows in shady rocky areas at elevations of 900 to 1900 m and is 5 to 10 cm tall. The leaves are oblong to spatulate and covered with mucous glandular hairs. In early spring, it produces pink to reddish-purple flowers on stalks. There is a white eye in the center. The photos show the garden variety "Lismor Treasure".
