バルカン半島のスロベニアに分布しています。アウリクラ種の変種です。アルプスの標高２０００メートルほどの石灰岩地帯に生え、高さは１０センチほどになります。葉は耳たぶのようなかたちで白粉を帯び、白く縁取られます。春に花茎を伸ばして、淡い黄色の花を咲かせます。花には芳香があり、真ん中にはっきりした白い目があります。

The Auricula (Primula auricula var. bauhinii) belongs to Primulaceae (the Primrose family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed in Slovenia in the Balkan Peninsula. It is a variety of the Primula auricula. It grows in limestone areas in the Alps at altitudes of about 2000 m and is about 10 cm tall. The leaves are earlobe-shaped, white-pollinated, and edged with white. In spring, it grows flower stalks and produces pale yellow flowers. The flowers are fragrant and have a distinct white eye in the center.
