ヒマラヤ周辺の中国南西部からビルマにかけて分布しています。標高２４００〜２８００メートルの湿地や沼に生え、高さは２０〜４０センチになります。葉は長楕円形から倒披針形で、縁には鋸歯があります。夏、花茎を伸ばして散形花序にピンクや白色の花を咲かせます。花冠の中心には黄色い目があります。

The Candelabra primula (Primula beesiana) belongs to Primulaceae (the Primrose family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from southwestern China around the Himalayas to Burma. It grows in marshes and swamps at elevations of 2400 to 2800 m and is 20 to 40 cm tall. The leaves are oblong to oblanceolate with serrated edges. In summer, the flower stalks grow and pink or white flowers bloom in umbels. The center of the corolla has a yellow eye.
