ヒマラヤ周辺の雲南省からチベット、ビルマに分布しています。標高２９００〜４５００メートルの湿地や沼に生え、高さは１５〜８０センチほどになります。葉は長楕円形から楕円形で、縁には不規則な鋸歯があります。夏、花茎を伸ばして１〜５段ある散形花序に淡いオレンジ色の花を咲かせます。

サクラソウ科サクラソウ属の多年草で、学名は Primula chungensis。英名はありません。

The Primula chungensis belongs to Primulaceae (the Primrose family). It is a perennial herb that is native to around the Himalaya, from Yunnan and Tibet of China to Burma. This herb grows in swamps or bogs 2900-4500 m elevation and can reach 15-80 cm in height. The leaves are oblong to elliptic with irregular toothed edges. The umbels are 1-5 tiered on the stalk and bloom pale orange flowers in summer.
