中央アジア、コーカサス地方の北部に分布しています。標高が３００〜９００メートルの日陰の岩場に生え、高さは５〜１０センチになります。葉は薄く倒卵形で、はっきりした鋸歯があります。春、花茎を伸ばして散形花序に、えんじ色やピンク色の花を咲かせます。

The Primula darialica belongs to Primulaceae (the Primrose family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed in the northern part of the Caucasus in Central Asia. It grows in shady, rocky areas at elevations of 300 to 900 m and is 5 to 10 cm tall. The leaves are thin and obovate with distinct serrations. In spring, the flower stalks grow to produce dark red or pink flowers in umbels.
