The Primula elatior ssp. pseudoelatior belongs to Primulaceae (the Primrose family). It is a perennial herb that is a subspecies of the Primula elatior, distributed from Asia to Europe, and is found only in the Caucasus region. It grows in subalpine to alpine meadows at altitudes of 2300 to 3050 m and is 5 to 15 cm tall. The leaves are ovate to round, petiolate, and covered with fine hairs.
