ヒマラヤ西部から中央アジアに分布しています。標高１７００〜５０００メートルの湿った草地や湿地に生え、高さは５〜１０センチになります。葉は長楕円形から倒披針形で、縁には細鋸歯があります。早春のころ、新葉の展開前に短い花茎を伸ばして散形花序をだし、濃いピンク色の花を咲かせます。

サクラソウ科サクラソウ属の多年草で、学名は Primula warshenewskiana。英名はありません。

The Primula warshenewskiana belongs to Primulaceae (the Primrose family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from the western Himalayas to central Asia. It grows in moist meadows and wetlands at elevations of 1700 to 5000 m and is 5 to 10 cm tall. The leaves are oblong to oblanceolate, with serrulated edges. In early spring, before the new leaves have developed, short flower stalks grow and produce umbels of dark pink flowers.
