The Oleander leaved protea (Protea neriifolia) belongs to the family Proteaceae. It is a small evergreen tree that is native to South Africa. It grows 1.2 to 1.6 m tall. The leaves, similar to those of the oleander, are slender and about 15 cm long. When young, they are covered with velvet hairs. Dark pink flowers bloom at the ends of the stems from fall to spring. The bract leaves, which look like petals, have black hairs on the tips.
