The narrow-leaved lungwort (Pulmonaria angustifolia) belongs to Boraginaceae (the Borage family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the south-west Alps. This herb grows in woods and meadows, on acid soils. and can reach 25-30 cm in height. The leaves are narrow lanceolate, unspotted and mid to dark green. The flowers are red or purplish and turning bright blue, funnel-shaped, and bloom from April to July.
