The verbena (Verbena x hybrida) belongs to Verbenaceae (the Verbena family). It is a perennial herb that is a generic term of Verbena genus cultivars. The creeping phlox like flowers continue to bloom from spring to fall. It has many flower-colors, red to pink, purple, blue, yellow and white. There are many creeping breeds and they are used as a ground cover.
