ヨーロッパに分布しています。標高３０００メートル未満の岩の多い草地や岩場に生え、高さは５〜１０センチになります。茎は四方に広がります。葉は狭い長楕円形から卵形で、縁は鋸歯がないか細かい鋸歯があります。花は濃青色で中心が赤みがかり、７月から９月ごろ、小さな花序に咲きます。

The Rock speedwell (Veronica fruticans) belongs to Scrophulariaceae (the Figwort family). It is a perennial herb that is native to Europe. This herb grows in stony grasslands and rocky places, to 3000 m elevation, and can reach 5-10 cm in height. The stems are sprawling. The leaves are narrow-oblong to ovate and untoothed or finely toothed. The flowers are deep blue with reddish center, and bloom in small clusters from July to September.
