ヨーロッパに分布しています。大草原に生え、茎は地上を這って、高さは１５〜２０センチになります。葉は卵形から狭い長楕円形で、軟毛が密生しています。葉縁は鈍鋸歯から全縁です。５月から６月ごろ、茎頂に総状花序をだし、淡青色からピンク色の花を咲かせます。

The Prostrate speedwell (Veronica prostrata) belongs to Scrophulariaceae (the Figwort family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed in Europe. It grows in prairies, with stems creeping above the ground, 15-20 cm tall. The leaves are ovate to narrowly oblong with dense pubescence. The leaves have bluntly serrate to entire margins. Around May to June, racemes of pale blue to pink flowers are produced at the top of the stem.
