カエサルピニア・メキシカーナ [Index] [Back] メキシコの東北部が原産です。成長が早く、高さは３〜４．５メートルになります。葉は２回羽状複葉で、小葉が４〜５対つきます。真冬をのぞいて、一年中黄色い花を咲かせます。種子には毒性があります。 ジャケツイバラ科ジャケツイバラ属の常緑低木で、学名は Caesalpinia mexicana。英名は Mexican bird of paradise、Mexican holdback。 Mexican bird of paradise (Caesalpinia mexicana) belongs to the Caesalpiniaceae family. It is a small evergreen tree that is native to northeastern Mexico. This tree is fast growing and can reach 3-4.5 m in height. The leaves are bipinnately compound each with 4 or 5 pairs of leaflets. The yellow flowers come in all year except for coldest month. The seeds are toxic.
