カリフォルニアフクシア [Index] [Back] 北アメリカの西部、とくにカリフォルニア州が原産です。乾燥した斜面やシャパラルに生え、高さは６０センチほどになります。葉は披針形または卵形で、対生または互生し、短い柄があるか無柄です。夏の終わりから秋にかけて、ピンク色から赤橙色の漏斗形の花を咲かせます。  アカバナ科アカバナ属の常緑小低木で、学名は Epilobium canum。英名は California fuchsia。  The California fuchsia (Epilobium canum) belongs to Onagraceae (the Evening primrose family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to western North America, especially California. This shrub grows on dry slopes and in chaparral, and up to a height of 60 cm. The leaves are opposite or alternate, lance-shaped or ovate, with short to nonexistent stalks.
