オーストラリア東部のニューサウスウェールズ州とビクトリア州に分布しています。高さは１〜３メートルほどになり、非常に湿ったところでも生育できます。葉は濃緑色で、枝は枝垂れます。晩春から夏をとおして、深紅色のブラシのような花を咲かせ続けます。

フトモモ科ブラシノキ属の常緑低木で、学名は Callistemon subulatus。英名はありません。

The Callistemon subulatus belongs to Myrtaceae (the Myrtle family). It is a small evergreen tree that is found in eastern Australia, in New South Wales and Victoria. It grows to a height of 1-3 m and can grow in very wet areas. The leaves are dark green and the branches are weeping. The deep red, brush-like flowers bloom continuously throughout late spring and summer.
