ビルマからインドネシアに分布しています。落葉性の地生ランで、偽鱗茎が大変目立ちます。冬から春にかけて、花茎を６０センチほど伸ばして、「つるらん（Calanthe furcata）」に似た花を咲かせます。唇弁は純白色で、中心に紅点があります。

ラン科エビネ属の多年草で、学名は Calanthe vestita。英名はありません。

Calanthe vestita belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed from Burma to Indonesia. This herb is a deciduous terrestrial orchid and has a very obvious pseudo-bulb. It produces a flowering stalk, about 60 cm high, and blooms "Tsuru-ran" (Calanthe furcata) like flowers from winter to spring. The labial petals are pure white with rose-pink centers.
