Campanula versicolor belongs to Campanulaceae (the Bellflower family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the Balkan peninsula and southeastern Italy. This herb grows on rocky places, and it can reach 50-120 cm in height. The leaves are rosetted, ovate to cordate, crenate or dentate, smooth and almost leathery-textured, stalked. The bell to saucer-shaped flowers bloom July to September. The colora is deep blue at the centre, paler at the circumference.
