ケファロフィルム・アルストニー [Index] [Back] 南アフリカの西ケープ地方、冬季降雨地域にあるケレス・カルーに分布しています。多肉質で地面を這います。葉は三角形の断面で長さ６〜１２センチ、緑色ががって真っ直ぐ、表面はなめらかです。冬に大きな真っ赤な花を咲かせます。花期は６月から９月です。 ツルナ科ケファロフィルム属の常緑多年草で、学名は Cephalophyllum alstonii。英名はありません。 Cephalophyllum alstonii belongs to Aizoaceae (the Ice plant family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is native to the Ceres Karoo of Western Cape where is the winter-rainfall area. This herb is a creeping succulent. The leaves are triangular, about 6-12 cm long, greenish, erect, and the surface is smooth throughout.
