	無茎種のヘレボルスで、無茎種の原種を交配させてできた園芸種の総称です。ヘレボルス・オリエンタリスが主要な交配親として用いられていたため、以前は「オリエンタリス・ハイブリッド（Helleborus orientalis hybrids）」と呼ばれていました。茎がなく、根茎から葉柄と花茎が別々に伸びます。葉は濃い緑色で、光沢のある革質、深い切れ込みがあり、しばしば鋸歯があります。開花は冬の半ばから終わりに始まり、早春まで続きます。花はふつう直径５～７センチで一重咲きですが、半八重咲きや八重咲きの品種もあります。花色は白色やピンク色、赤色、紫色、黄色などとさまざまで、内側に斑点が入ることもあります。別名で「ハイブリッド・ヘレボルス」とも呼ばれます。写真中２４の品種は、「サンマーブル（cv. Sunmarble）」、下は、イエローレディ（cv. Yellow Lady）」。
	キンポウゲ科ヘレボルス属の常緑多年草で、学名は Helleborus x hybridus。英名は Hybrid hellebores、Hybrid lenten roses。
	The Hybrid hellebores (Helleborus x hybridus) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is horticultural species created by hybridizing stemless species of the original species. It was formerly called "Helleborus orientalis hybrids" because Helleborus orientalis was used as the main hybrid parent. It is stemless, with petioles and scapes growing separately from the rhizome. The leaves are dark green, glossy, leathery, deeply lobed and often serrated. Flowering begins in mid to late winter and continues until early spring. The flowers are usually 5-7 cm in diameter and single-petaled, but there are also semi-double and double-petaled varieties. Flower color varies from white, pink, red, purple, and yellow, and may be spotted on the inside.
