The Musical note (Clerodendrum incisum var. macrosiphon) belongs to Verbenaceae (thr Verbena family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to tropical Africa. It is a variety of Clerodendrum incisum and grows to about 1.2 m tall. The leaves are elliptic, relatively small, and grow in pairs. It produces hemispherical inflorescences at the ends of its branches and white tubular flowers throughout the year. The flower tube is long, and the red stamens protrude. When in bud, the flowers look like musical notes, hence the English name "musical note".
