The Clematis belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a vine that is an interspecific hybrid between Japanese "Kazaguruma" (Clematis patens) and Chinese "Tessen" (Clematis florida) and European species. This vine blooms usually in May to June, and sometimes everblooming. The flower color is varied, such as red, pink, peach bloom, blue-purple or white. The sepals give the petal-appearance.
