The Blue butterfly flower (Clerodendrum ugandense) belongs to Verbenaceae (thr Verbena family). It is a small evergreen tree that is distributed from Uganda to former Rhodesia in Africa. It grows in frost-free areas and can reach a height of up to 3 m. From summer to fall, the flowers, which resemble butterflies, are produced laterally in cymes at the ends of branches. It has five petals, four are sky-blue and one is dark blue-purple.
