The autograph tree (Clusia rosea) belongs to the Clusiaceae family. It is a semi-tall evergreen tree that is distributed from southern Mexico to northern South America and the West Indies, the Bahamas Islands. This tree is often beggining as an epiphyte on other trees and hanging aerial roots, and can reach up to 10 m in height. Yellow saps ooze when breaked a branch by hand. Leaves are obovate, opposite, thick and leathery. White flowers are born on the terminals or axiles, and aging to pink. Fruits are globose capsules 5-8 cm in diameter, splitting open from the top along 7-9 or more seams, with numerous red seeds.
