中央アメリカのグアテマラに分布しています。茎は木質化し、軟らかいベルベットのような長楕円形の葉が互生します。葉腋から細かい毛に被われた黄色い筒状花を咲かせます。花は短命ですが、オレンジ色の萼片が長く残ります。 |

イワタバコ科コバナンツス属の常緑多年草で、学名は Cobananthus calochlamys。英名はありません。 |

The Cobananthus calochlamys belongs to Gesneriaceae (the African violet family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is distributed in Guatemala, Central America. The stems are woody, with soft, velvety, oblong leaves that grow in alternate arrangements. Yellow tubular flowers covered with fine hairs bloom from the leaf axils. The flowers are short-lived, but the orange sepals remain long. |
