The Confetti bush (Coleonema pulchellum) belongs to Rutaceae (the Citrus family). It is an evergreen shrub that is endemic to the Cape Province of South Africa. It has a single stem at the base, from which grow numerous thin, upright branches, 80-160 cm tall. The leaves are linear, about 1 cm long, and bright green. The 5-petaled, star-shaped, pink to white flowers bloom from March to October. The flowers attract bees, butterflies, and other insects. The fruit is a capsule.
