The Rocky mountain juniper 'Skyrocket' (Juniperus scopulorum cv. Skyrocket) belongs to Cupressaceae (the Cypress family). It is a semi-tall evergreen tree that is a horticultural variety of the "Rocky mountain juniper", which is distributed mainly in the Rocky Mountains in the northwestern part of North America. It is about 5 to 7 m tall, spreading only about 50 cm at its lowest point, and characterized by its narrow conical shape. The leaves are needle-shaped and scale-leaved, and are blue-green in color. It is widely planted as a park tree, roadside tree, and garden tree.
