コロラドびゃくしん・スカイロケット

北アメリカの北西部、ロッキー山脈を中心に分布する「コロラドびゃくしん（コロラド柏槙）」の園芸品種です。高さは５〜７メートルほどで、最下部でも５０センチほどしか広がらず、狭円錐形の樹形が特徴です。葉は針葉と鱗葉で、青緑色をしています。公園樹や街路樹、庭木として広く植栽されています。 |

ヒノキ科ネズミサシ属の常緑小高木で、学名は Juniperus scopulorum cv. Skyrocket。英名は Rocky mountain juniper 'Skyrocket'。 |

The Rocky mountain juniper 'Skyrocket' (Juniperus scopulorum cv. Skyrocket) belongs to Cupressaceae (the Cypress family). It is a semi-tall evergreen tree that is a horticultural variety of the "Rocky mountain juniper", which is distributed mainly in the Rocky Mountains in the northwestern part of North America. It is about 5 to 7 m tall, spreading only about 50 cm at its lowest point, and characterized by its narrow conical shape. The leaves are needle-shaped and scale-leaved, and are blue-green in color. It is widely planted as a park tree, roadside tree, and garden tree. |
