The Common correa (Correa reflexa) belongs to Rutaceae (the Citrus family). It is a small evergreen tree that is widely distributed in eastern and southern Australia. It grows in light forests and wastelands and grows to about 1 m tall. The leaves are ovate, covered with short hairs on the surface, and have distinct oil glands. Bell-shaped flowers, about 4 cm long, bloom from winter to early spring. The color of the corolla varies from light green to red, red with yellow tips, etc. It was introduced to Europe at the beginning of the 19th century, and many garden varieties were created. The genus is named after the Portuguese botanist Jose Francisco Correa de Serra.
