コツラ・コロノピフォリア [Index] [Back] 南アフリカが原産です。けれども世界中の多くの地域に導入されてきました。浜辺や海岸湿地に生え、高さは５〜１５センチになります。これはまた、マット状に広がり、匍匐して節から根を出し、そして強い臭気があります。下部の葉はいくつかの線状の裂片に分裂し、上部の葉は分裂しないで、ときおり鋸歯があります。頭花は黄色く、中心花がかたいボタンのようにつきます。花はほとんど一年中咲いています。 キク科コツラ属の多年草で、学名は Cotula coronopifolia。英名は Brass buttons。 The brass buttons (Cotula coronopifolia) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native to southern Africa, but it has been introduced to many regions of the world. This herb grows on beaches and marshes, and it can reach 5-15 cm in height. It is also mat sprawling, prostrate, rooting at nodes, and strong-smelling. The lowers leaves are divided into few linear lobes, and the upper leaves are undivied, sometimes toothed.
