オーストラリアのビクトリア州からニューサウスウェールズ州、それにクイーンズランド州南東部に分布しています。森林地帯に生え、高さは１メートルほどになります。葉は狭長楕円形から狭卵形です。一年のほとんどの月に、葉腋からピンク色の小さな５弁花を咲かせます。わが国では、「サザンクロス」という名前で流通しています。 |

The small crowea (Crowea exalata) belongs to Rutaceae (the Citrus family). It is an evergreen shrub that is distributed to Victoria, New South Wales, and southeastern Queensland in Australia. This shrub grows in forests and can reach about 1 m in height. The leaves are narrow oblong to narrow ovate. The pink, small, five petaled flowers bloom in the axils of the leaves during most months of the year. In Japan, it is distributed under the name "Southern Cross". |
