わが国の各地をはじめ、朝鮮半島や中国に分布しています。山地の明るい林床や林縁に生え、高さは３０〜６０センチになります。茎は直立し、卵状楕円形で長い柄のある葉は互生します。８月から１０月ごろ、俯きかげんに黄色い頭花を咲かせます。名前は、総苞のかたちが煙管（きせる）の雁首に似ていることから。中国語では「金挖耳（jin wa er）」と呼ばれます。 |

キク科ガンクビソウ属の多年草で、学名は Carpesium divaricatum。英名はありません。 |

The "Gankubi-so" (Carpesium divaricatum) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native to Japan, the Korean Peninsula and China. The herb grows in montane open forest floors and forest edges, and it can reach 30-60 cm in height. The stem is erect and the leaves are ovate elliptic with long petioles, and arranged in alternate. The yellow flower-heads bloom nodding from August to October. The Japanese common name is derived from the bowl of a pipe. In Chinese, it is called "金挖耳" (jin wa er). |
