南アフリカの東南部、ナタール地方に分布するグラキリス種の小型変種です。茎は短く、厚くて硬い多肉質の葉がロゼット状につきます。濃緑色の葉には白い斑紋があります。園芸上は「こだから（子宝）」とか「こだからにしき（子宝錦）」呼ばれます。

ユリ科ガステリア属の常緑多年草で、学名は Gasteria gracilis var. minima。英名はありません。

The Gasteria gracilis var. minima belongs to Liliaceae (the Lily family). It is an evergreen perennial herb that is a small variety of the Gasteria gracilis found in the Natal region of southeastern South Africa. It has short stems and a rosette of thick, stiff, fleshy leaves. The dark green leaves have white patches. Horticulturally, it is called "子宝" (Kodakara) or "子宝錦" (Kodakara-nishiki) in Japan.
