The Wilga (Geijera parviflora) belongs to Rutaceae (the Citrus family). It is a semi-tall evergreen tree that is widely distributed in Australia. It grows in dry areas and reaches a height of 6 to 9 m. The bark of young trees is light gray and smooth, but mature trees are coarsely creased and reddish brown. The leaves are gray-green, lanceolate to linear, and drooping. In early spring and fall, inconspicuous yellowish-white flowers bloom in inflorescences at the ends of branches. The English name "Wilga" means "small tree" in the Aboriginal language.
